Trusses & Industrial Sheds

Clear-span structural steel for equipment buildings, conveyor bridges, and plant infrastructure. Designed for heavy industrial loads including EOT cranes, process equipment, and environmental forces.

Roof Trusses — Pratt, Warren, or Howe configurations selected based on span length, loading pattern, and fabrication economics. Clear spans up to 30m without intermediate columns — maximizes usable floor area.

Bridge Trusses — Conveyor support structures spanning between buildings or over roadways. Designed for dynamic loads from operating conveyors plus wind and dead loads.

Design Approach

All structures designed per IS 800 (steel design code) with load combinations per IS 875 (wind, live, dead loads) and IS 1893 (seismic). Design accounts for:

  • Dead load from roofing, purlins, and services
  • Live loads including maintenance access and equipment
  • Wind load with pressure coefficients for the specific building geometry
  • Seismic zone forces based on site location
  • Crane loads (vertical, lateral, and longitudinal) where applicable

Connection Design

Bolted connections for field assembly — reduces site welding and allows faster erection. Gusseted joints at truss nodes with high-strength friction-grip bolts. Base plates designed for anchor bolt patterns matching foundation design.

Column-to-truss connections use end plates or cleated angles depending on moment requirements. All connections are detailed for standard fabrication to minimize site-specific fitting.

Corrosion Protection

Three-layer paint system for standard industrial environments: zinc-rich primer, epoxy intermediate, and polyurethane topcoat. Hot-dip galvanizing available for severe corrosion environments (coastal, chemical plant, high-humidity).

Erection

Pre-fabricated sections are trial-assembled in the shop before dispatch to verify fit-up. Site erection uses mobile cranes with engineered lift plans. Plumb and level verification at each stage before proceeding to the next tier.
